The Polakoff Foundation hosts the third annual Golf Outing and Auction to Fight Glaucoma on Monday, June 16, beginning at 7:30 a.m., at Mountain Branch Golf Course in Joppa, Md. All proceeds support the fight against glaucoma, including creating awareness, offering preventive screenings to those potentially at risk, and funding research toward a cure.
The Golf Outing To Fight Glaucoma is a best ball tournament with contests and prizes, including a hole-in-one contest for a chance to win a 2008 Lexus ES 350 from Lexus of Towson. The event also includes a continental breakfast and lunch buffet.
The Auction to Fight Glaucoma features an impressive array of items, including four nights lodging at Surfside Shores in Gulf Shores, Ala., a Cybex Arc Trainer, fine jewelry from Saxon’s Diamond Centers, NFL memorabilia including an autographed helmet from Tony Gonzalez of the Kansas City Chiefs and an autographed football from Larry Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs, and more. New this year, pay $185 per golfer for breakfast, lunch, golf and auction or $50 per person for those who are only interested in attending the luncheon and auction.
