Maryland Day Open House
It’s the 10th anniversary of Maryland Day – the University of Maryland’s popular open house. Everyone is invited to come celebrate with us in College Park on Saturday April 26 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and enjoy a day full of family fun, learning and discovery.
"Maryland Day is our way of sharing with the community everything that makes the university such a treasured resource for the state and region," says University President Dan Mote, Jr.
Last year, we welcomed more than 77,000 visitors to campus and expectations are high that we will meet or exceed that total. And since it’s Maryland Day’s 10th anniversary, we’re celebrating with something very special – 50,000 cupcakes will be given away in Hornbake Plaza.
And as with past Maryland Day open houses, we’ll have tours, exhibits, demonstrations, and sporting events.
Everything is family friendly and all events are free. Don’t miss a scoop of Maryland ice cream at the Dairy! Admission, parking and shuttle bus transportation on campus and from the College Park Metro are all free. Plenty of food choices too! Campus navigation is easy with the help of complementary activity maps. Plan your day online at http://www.marylandday.umd.edu/, or email questions to: mddayhelp@umd.edu
