Good Morning and Happy Friday

It's me Mrs Karen from beautiful downtown Belcamp MD, shouting out to all from the Riverside Kleins!!

CRACKERBARREL ROCKS!!!!!! 2 can eat a hardy healthy meal for $20.00 (plus tip and tax). Example: 2 eggs chicken friend steak, grits, hash browns, rolls and ambience.

One good plus is IF you have to wait they have a really cool gift shop with some memorbialia type candies (moon pies..) and local Charles Chips (I remember the chip man coming to the neighborhood and all of the moms would take out their old cans and get a filled one).....yep, they have em there hon!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyhow - have a blessed day and IF you come to the neighborhood on Saturday evening, Mountain Christian is having tailgating and fireworks!!!

I have managed several restaurants in Maryland and have used restaurant consultants called www.therestauranttrainers.com! They provide monthly inspections similar to those of the health department to help us maintain good conditions-they educate us on what needs to be done and even provide professional cleaners and licensed pest control services if necessary! They're awesome! I've used them for 5 years and wouldn't manage a restaurant without them!

Thursday night, ABC2 kicks off a new series, Dirty Dining. And as we prepare to dish the dirt on restaurants all over Baltimore, we wanted to know more about the people whose job it is to keep the places you eat safe. ABC2 News Investigator Joce Sterman tagged along with a city restaurant inspector to see what happens inside the kitchen.

I ate at the Silver Spring Mining Company in Bel Air last month and ordered a crab cake. When I took a bite, I pulled a band aid out of my mouth!! They immediately took the band aid away before I thought of keeping it. If you are in the Essex area, like dining on the water, check out Riverwatch. A friend worked there last year and told me of the chef walking around the kitchen preparing food with his cigarette in his mouth the whole time. Smoking in the kitchen, and no one would confront him about it.

Violence in Baltimore City Schools

It is a hot topic right now here in the Balitmore area, as well as the rest of the country. The cell phone video of a teacher being attacked is as appalling as it is down right scary. How does a classroom full of students not help a teacher who is being attacked?

I admit I wanted to see the cell phone video of the attack once I heard it existed, but then after watching it a few times I said to myself why aren't any of the students helping the teacher.

Why is it that other students were more inclined to pull out their cell phone camera... take the time to push the buttons, set it to record and just watch. Why is it that other students carefully moved objects out of the way to the attack could continue uninterupted?

These are the questions I'd like to see answered. Let's set aside the argument over who started it. In fact lets throw that right away! This is a teacher who appears to have lost control of her classroom, and also appears have been victimized.
