Dirty Dining in Baltimore - VIEWER COMMENTS

Click Here to Watch the Video Thursday night, ABC2 kicks off a new series, Dirty Dining.  And as we prepare to dish the dirt on restaurants all over Baltimore, we wanted to know more about the people whose job it is to keep the places you eat safe.  ABC2 News Investigator Joce Sterman tagged along with a city restaurant inspector to see what happens inside the kitchen.

I ate at the Silver Spring Mining Company in Bel Air last month and ordered a crab cake. When I took a bite, I pulled a band aid out of my mouth!! They immediately took the band aid away before I thought of keeping it. Do you believe that all I ever got was an apology and a $50 gift card that won't even cover the cost of dinner for my family of 4 as of last Friday? Is there anything I can do? Thanks for the help.

Suburban House, located on Reisterstown Road, in Baltimore County, MD. Not only does this Deli appear to be dirty, but the restroom is ghastly.

If you are in the Essex area, like dining on the water, check out Riverwatch. A friend worked there last year and told me of the chef walking around the kitchen preparing food with his cigarette in his mouth the whole time. Smoking in the kitchen, and no one would confront him about it.

3 hours after dining at the Don Pablos in White Marsh, I had a fever of over 100 degrees. which continued for the next 2 days. on the 2nd day i started with blisters in my mouth and throat. After going to the doctor, they advised i had a viral infection. i am convinced that this is something i caught at the restaurant i was dining.

Maybe you should do a story on how Maryland needs to post "grades" outside restaurant doors instead of keeping inspection reports on the internet where many people do not know where to find them and they are hard to search.

I know a health inspector personally and he feels that he gets nowhere with bad restaurants because there are no consequences (except when you do stories like this one!

The outside of this place looks pretty shabby and as for the food, I ate their once and was not very happy at all. The once famous "Shane's", was a very good carryout/ restaraunt.

I don't what has become of it.  Please take a look at this restaraunt/carryout closely and let me know what the Inspectors came up with. The location of the restaraunt/carryout is at the intersections of Park Ave and West Fayette Street.

I just moved to the area and am curious if the shrimp bar in the SuperFresh of Downtown Baltimore is kept at a safe temperature.

I like the concept of the shrimp bar, but am leary of any type of 'buffet bar'. Would LOVE your insite, since I am new to the state. Thanks!

A few years ago, I used to eat dinner at Holy Frijoles in Hampden weekly until I started getting sick from the food each time the next morning. Now, everyone I know has had one story or another about the food making him/her sick. I thought at first my sickness from the food was from being vegetarian (having cross contamination from the meat dishes), but now I'm not so sure as I've heard stories from meat eaters and veggie lovers alike. Recently, I gave it another shot and was sick the entire next day. Same with my boyfriend who had eaten there with me. Rumors have circulated that the kitchen is filthy. Please check this out. What do the reports say? Anything?

I love this series. Keep up the great reporting.

Best,
Carrie

Carrabba's Italian Grill located at 7200 Bel Air Road had been shutdown atleast once recently due to health issues.  They also shutdown due to a fire last summer. The open line always looks dirty and the pots of water they cook the pasta in looks pretty disgusting as well.

Also outside by the dumpsters which is right by employee parking is almost always disgusting.  But dont take my word for it, go check it out yourself.
